An end of a beginning or a beginning of an end

It's been a while
It took me more than a mile
To establish myself
To encourage myself
For a journey of a lifetime

It's been a while
Since I enjoyed much sleep
But like a pile
I know it won't be any deep
It's for a good reason

Everything takes a while
My shoulders have found rest
My head had known no turmoil
Quite a journey
Indeed a beginning of an end
Or still an end of a beginning

Hope rises up like a flame
Burns up everything lame
And still remains the same
I trust humility
I appreciate the broken bones of time
Fixed a cast around them, I did
Patiently, wounds will heal

At the end of everything
At the peak of the mountain
I will lift up a flag
A flag of survival
Because now more than ever
I am poised forever

The caterpillar becomes a butterfly
A baby becomes an adult
Everything emerges as something better
Something proper
At the end of the beginning
Or still at the beginning of an end
I know I am going to make it
It's been a while
That's all......
