Split second rescue

God saved my life yesterday, 26th March 2015. I had a lot to be grateful for yet I just couldn't  express how content I was that my daily prayers  never go to waste. When you intercede for others, there is much guarantee that God is fighting your battles for you. I mean, I'm slightly  shaken but when you survive  by a hair's breadth from what could have been fatal, a near-death experience, trust me, you would be grateful for even the little bruises and pain. I reflected on everything today. I sat down  and my unconscious  produced, SPLIT SECOND RESCUE.
For indeed,  I will  praise my maker while I have breath.
God is faithful and this poem is just my testimony to the world that we serve a living God.
One who is able to sympathise  with our weaknesses  and able to save us from an abyss of unpleasant  inevitabilities. My supreme God watches over me. My Jesus is alive! I'm eternally grateful to Him.

SLIT SECOND RESCUE

Feet, stay stable
Heart, stop beating
Shattered pieces of glass
Broken pieces of my speech
I'm bewildered
I cannot describe my split  second rescue
Oh God..
I stutter
I'm only grateful that
Within  a split second
Our rescue came on time

Feet, don't wobble
Heart, don't be afraid
Hold me strong
Don't fail me
At least not yet
My spit second rescue
For a moment there,
I thought  it was over
But our prayers are not without  aim
Our rescue came on time

Pain, your time is yet to come
Tears, no need for you now
so cut me some slack
I need to be stable
This is no fable
it's reality
Flashbacks of how it could have been an end
No where near a beginning
Oh God..
Your rescue came right on time

I replay
I see what could have led to....
Oh I shudder  at the mere thought of it
It could have being very grave
Too grave
Hold me together, O God
I'm slightly  traumatised
I see it coming
It's wheel turning
It's not gonna stop
Moving against resistance
At the top of its speed
I see myself  fly
Shielding myself and launching forward ahead of my senses
My cerebral cortex lost its function
Momentarily, maybe
Your rescue came on time
It could only have been You
