The issue of intergrity. I won't be shocked if I was to conduct a random survey and realise that just a few of us know about intergrity. In this world, our temporary abode, the Intergrity of every single individual is a question silently mouth by all and sundry. Why on earth would I want to engage in any profitable venture with you when your integrity is very much questionable? We ought to have intergrity because in my candid opinion, intergrity makes a nation, an individual and a group whole. If only we could vouch for our leaders, we won't be burdened by poverty, corruption and all things unpleasant.
The integrating factor of our lives.....
An integrating factor is one that makes whole or complete. I listened to one of our youth facilitators talk to us about this topic last year and I have kept this message as a guide to my life .
Let's picture a huge tree, we would all agree that the roots provide it with stability, the roots also serve as a conduit for soil nutrients for growth and establishment of the tree and also, without the roots, the tree cannot exist. This is a fact of life!
Without an integrating factor, a makeshift root, for our lives, we cannot stand. In fact, the roots enable the branches to bear fruits.! So we need an integrating factor in our lives, so that when to winds blow and the storms rage in our lives, we can stand - show integrity. As humans, our integrating factor, must be God. Once we have God, when we blossom and bear beautiful fruits, we cannot attribute our present condition to our own efforts. Because like I said, no root,no life! When the season of drought creeps on us and our leaves dry out and fall and our fruits fail to appear, we will understand that we have to reach out to our root to save us.
In clearer terms, if we reach the apex of our lives and failures, hardship and toil overwhelm us,we have no choice than to seek God. The integrating factor of our lives!
