Then I'd prefer loving you ignorant
If loving you was wrong
Then I think every decision I have made in life is completely wrong and I deserve to rant
If loving you was wrong
Then I wonder why you'd watch me come closer to your throne
With all that couldn't be distinguished from a drone
Just because I sought  helplessly to delve deeper into your love
If loving you was wrong
Then my joy at finding you
And serving you must be false
Maybe they should win Oscars
For fooling me like actors
But
I cannot mistaken the fulfilment I receive

Then I'm afraid I have led a lot of people astray
By letting them love you when all they wanted was to stay
In the rot they've been accustomed to
I pulled them closer and whispered,
'You cannot miss out on loving this guy'

Then I think I have never made any progress so far
And all that I have experienced is a mirage
A mental image I have carved out
I deserve to be detained in an asylum
Everything I ever wanted,  everything I ever desired

Then I prefer not knowing this
Because maybe I might lose my sanity
Just believing that the magnificent empire I spent nothing in building - which is all mine- has suddenly fallen apart
I prefer loving you,  no matter what
