It didn't begin like a flash of lightning

One day, I stood tall
And rose up from the fall.
It didn't begin like a flash of lightning
It always had a beginning
In a dream, we cannot feel what we see
Unless we allow ourselves to flee
Into a well-lit reality
Pardon my brevity
I speak this mystery with verity.

One day, I decided to change it all
And that was all
It took days of brewing
To produce the best of wine
 and carving
To obtain an artifact of best fit
It didn't begin like a flash of lightning
My mind did all the fighting
That was it
God changed my story
I escaped what would have being my folly

One day, everything tasted like bile
My dreams and vision stack in a pile
An unsightly clutter
Which caused my mind torture
Then

I took the step
And decided to prep
In order to start from scratch
It didn't begin like a flash of lighting
I climbed the ceiling
And gauged where I wanted to be from the beginning
God allowed my plan
He changed my story
I survived for His glory
